PlainPDF does not require an account or email for core tools.

File handling

Functional MVP tools process selected files in your browser. Files are not uploaded to PlainPDF servers. Closing or resetting the tool clears the selection from the page. Informational tools do not accept files.

Analytics

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity collect page and usage measurements to help us understand and improve this website. Ordinary analytics storage is enabled for visitors from South Africa and the United States, subject to applicable requirements and objections. Other regions currently use limited cookieless measurement pending assessment. Clarity follows the regional Google Consent Mode settings. Advertising storage, advertising data use and advertising personalisation remain disabled. These signals transmit information to the providers and are not a guarantee of complete or anonymous measurement.

Our custom tool events contain only the tool name, processing start, download initiation or a broad error stage. They do not contain file names, file contents, extracted document text, signatures, page selections, email addresses or account data. Download initiation does not establish that a file was saved or opened. The PDF-tool area is masked for Clarity.

Cookies

Ordinary analytics may use cookies for visits from South Africa and the United States. Where analytics storage is not enabled, the providers receive limited cookieless signals. The regional storage settings do not record that you have given consent. Advertising storage remains disabled. Infrastructure providers may use security cookies. PlainPDF is not currently serving ads.

Technical logs

Deployment providers may record standard request metadata such as IP address, timestamp, requested URL, and user agent. Document contents are not sent through the functional browser-side tools.
